The Caratozzolo family, who runs the beloved diner, reported that the fire started on Monday during welding work for new awnings, but fortunately, no one was injured.
The fire prompted a swift response from multiple local agencies, including the Waterloo, Seneca Falls, and Geneva Fire Departments, along with Seneca County Emergency Management. The family praised the quick action of these teams and assured the community that they are assessing the damage and working toward reopening.
“We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of concern and support,” the Caratozzolo family said. They promised to keep the public updated on their progress and eagerly anticipate welcoming patrons back soon.
