A Seneca Falls man faces multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from police in a high-speed chase on Sunday evening. Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reported the arrest of 47-year-old Louis D. Lopez-Rapalo, who was charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in the Third Degree and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
The incident began around 7:11 p.m. when deputies spotted a vehicle speeding on State Route 414 in the Town of Seneca Falls. Lopez-Rapalo reportedly attempted to evade officers, reaching speeds of 85 mph before stopping at a residence and fleeing on foot.
Lopez-Rapalo was apprehended shortly after and taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility. He was released with an appearance ticket for the Town of Seneca Falls Court, along with several traffic violations.
