Watkins Glen Promotions is excited to announce the first-ever Odessa Community Day, bringing a day of festivities and local charm to Odessa, NY. Set for Saturday, August 17, from 12 to 7 p.m., the free event on Church Street aims to unite the community through entertainment and interactive activities for all ages.
The celebration kicks off with Holly Campbell singing the national anthem, followed by free face painting and activities for children sponsored by the Dutton S. Peterson Memorial Library. Families can also enjoy balloon creations by Amazing Pete, with live music performances throughout the day.
A highlight of the event is the touch-a-truck experience, running from 12 to 4 p.m., allowing families to explore local emergency and service vehicles like fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars. This hands-on activity educates attendees on the vital roles these vehicles play in community safety.
In addition to entertainment, the festival will feature an array of craft, nonprofit, and food vendors. Visitors can shop for unique items, learn about community initiatives, and sample delicious offerings from local vendors. Free parking is available at the Odessa Montour Falls School, ensuring easy access for all attendees.
