Four Finger Lakes-area venues have been selected to host state championships for a three-year term starting in 2025-26. The Webster Aquatic Center will host girls swimming, Roberts Wesleyan and Finger Lakes Community College will co-host boys volleyball, and Mill Creek Golf Course will host boys golf.
Mill Creek, despite being the most expensive bid, was chosen for its amenities and course style, marking the first time Section V will host boys golf since 1973.
The NYSPHSAA will also increase championship ticket prices by $0.50, anticipating an additional $50,000 per 100,000 attendees. The state’s inaugural flag football championships incurred a $2,259 loss but will remain at Cortland High School through 2026.
