The “Wall That Heals,” a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, will arrive in Penn Yan on August 6 at 3:30 PM, escorted by approximately 350 motorcycles.
The escort will gather at 1:00 PM in the Bass Pro parking lot at the Fingerlakes Mall in Auburn, departing at 2:00 PM. The route will pass through Seneca Falls, Waterloo, and Geneva, before reaching Penn Yan. The arrival will coincide with a ceremonial renaming of Mace Street to “Vietnam Veteran’s Drive.”
The Wall will be open 24 hours a day, with free admittance, starting August 7. Key events include a Welcome Home Ceremony on August 8 and an Agent Orange Awareness Day Candlelight Ceremony on August 10. The Wall closes with a ceremony at 1:45 PM on August 11.
