Residents of Tyre will soon have access to a new townwide trash collection service. On July 24, the Town Board authorized the town engineer to issue a competitive bid package for a refuse collection and disposal contract.
Bids will be opened on August 21 at 4 p.m., with the board expected to award the contract at its August 28 meeting.
Currently, residents must arrange for private trash collection services. This new initiative aims to streamline waste management for the community.
The change is expected to simplify and improve trash disposal services for all town residents.
