Auburn Community Hospital will receive nearly $2 million over two years as part of a state initiative to strengthen the health care workforce, Governor Kathy Hochul announced.
This grant is part of a $22.5 million allocation to 28 facilities through the Increasing Training Capacity in Statewide Healthcare Facilities program, managed by the state Department of Health’s Office of Healthcare Workforce Innovation.
The funds aim to address workforce shortages exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic by supporting training programs and covering related expenses.
