Town Highway, Parks Department, Water Department, and Clerical workers are organizing a union with the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) to ensure better wages, benefits, and stability despite changes in the town board.
“We want to ensure that the Town of Seneca Falls has a workforce well-equipped to meet the needs of our community,” said Adam Passalaqua from the Parks and Recreation Department.
The group has requested voluntary recognition from management and aims for a neutral organizing environment. A super majority of the potential bargaining unit has signed authorization cards for unionization. Once certified, CSEA will represent them in all negotiations.
