The Seneca County Farm Service Agency (FSA) is now accepting applications for the Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) to address microburst damage.
Starting August 4 through September 16, farmers can apply for assistance to remove debris and restore fences. “It’s crucial for producers to contact our office before taking any action,” said FSA County Executive Director John Mietz.
ECP funds cover up to 75% of restoration costs, or up to 90% for disadvantaged and beginning farmers, with a cap of $500,000 per disaster. For more details, call 315-568-6346, ext. 2 or visit farmers.gov/recover.
