Grant boosts veterans services in Seneca County

Seneca County veterans and their families may see expanded services thanks to a state grant.

The county Board of Supervisors will vote in August on a resolution to contract with Veterans One-Stop Center of Western New York to enhance services through 2024 and possibly into 2025. This follows the Health and Human Services Committee’s approval on Tuesday.

The State Office of Mental Health has allocated up to $100,000 annually for these services. The initial $50,000 will fund the contract through December 31, supporting community bonding, program services, and outreach.
