The Buffalo Bills added depth to the safety position on Tuesday.
The team signed veteran Kareem Jackson to a one-year contract.
Jackson, 36, has played in the NFL for 15 seasons with the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos, totaling 954 tackles and 22 interceptions (returning three for touchdowns).
This move comes after safety Mike Edward suffered a hamstring injury and is listed as week-to-week.Â
To make room for Jackson on the roster, the Bills released linebacker Shayne Simon.
