Meghan Musnicki, a celebrated rower from Naples, is gearing up for her fourth Olympic Games in Paris this summer. At 41, she will be the oldest American woman to compete in rowing at the Olympics.
Musnicki has a storied career, with gold medals from the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Games. Despite initially retiring after the Tokyo Olympics, her passion for competition led her back to the sport. She finished sixth at the World Championship last year and aims for gold once again.
“I love competing and pushing my limits,” Musnicki recently told News10NBC. “Being part of a team striving for greatness is what drives me.” As she prepares for Paris, Musnicki hopes to inspire others, showing age is no barrier to athletic achievement.
