The Town of Phelps has installed two electric vehicle charging stations in the Church Street municipal parking lot, accommodating four vehicles at once.
This project was funded by a $5,000 grant from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s Clean Energy Community Program. The installation responds to requests from local business owners, patrons, and residents.
“We are excited for electric vehicle owners to use the chargers and spend time in our village,” said Town Supervisor Bill Wellman. The new stations aim to support the growing development in downtown Phelps.
