“We all should be alarmed,” Williams said. He emphasized the need to reduce violent political rhetoric, recalling his own experience with death threats. Williams noted that political violence has not been this serious since Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981.
Williams stated that the Republican Party is seeking answers. “Every Republican member of Congress is deeply concerned about this incident,” he said, highlighting the need for a thorough investigation into the actions of the Secret Service and the overall security measures.
