The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office promoted two officers in a recent ceremony. John Kesel was elevated to evening road patrol lieutenant, while Dylan LaBrake advanced from deputy to criminal investigator.

Sheriff David Cirencione praised Kesel, a 14-year veteran, for his leadership in DUI detection and mentorship. LaBrake, known for his detailed crime scene work, will now handle felony-level crimes and death investigations.

In June, the Sheriff’s Office also partnered with Amelio Emerge Career to offer commercial driver license training to inmates and interviewed candidates for 911 communication officer positions.
