The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office arrested an inmate at the local jail for promoting prison contraband after an investigation this past week.

Troy Randleman, 34, from Farmington was arrested for first-degree promoting prison contraband.

The charge stems from an incident while he was incarcerated at the County Jail, where he was in possession of ‘dangerous contraband’.

The substance tested positive for fentanyl, according to deputies.

He was arraigned and will answer the new charges at a later date.
