More than 500 cyclists are participating in the 26th annual Cycle the Erie Canal bike tour, traveling 400 miles from Buffalo to Albany. The riders passed through Genesee Valley Park on Monday, July 8, 2024, as they journeyed from Medina to Fairport.
Participants, ranging from ages 2 to 85, are exploring historic communities along the canal and enjoying New York’s summer weather.
Cyclists from 37 states are riding 40 to 60 miles daily and are expected to complete the tour by next Monday.
