Two new housing projects in Ithaca will receive $12.7 million from the state, creating 45 supportive units. This is part of a larger initiative to improve low-income housing in New York.

Governor Kathy Hochul announced $8.5 million for The Meadows on Seneca, which will provide 25 supportive units at 116 North Meadow Street. The building will include an exercise room, laundry, and community space, with support services from Rehabilitation Support Services and The Advocacy Center of Tompkins County.

The Stately Apartments will receive $4.2 million to create 20 supportive units at West State Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Street. This project includes laundry facilities, a community room, and garden space, with on-site support from Catholic Charities of Tompkins/Tioga.
