Steuben County Sheriff James Allard announced a special campaign to combat impaired driving from July 3 to July 7.

The STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaign aims to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving, especially during the Fourth of July weekend, which is known for a high number of impaired-driving incidents.

The campaign is part of statewide efforts by STOP-DWI NY and the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, targeting several holidays throughout the year. To stay safe, people are encouraged to use the “Have a Plan” app to find a sober ride home.
