Two held without bail after massive drug and gun bust in Ontario, Monroe counties

A large-scale investigation led to the seizure of drugs, guns, and cash in Ontario and Monroe counties. The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says that 20 search warrants were executed on June 26, resulting from a seven-month probe into narcotics distribution in the Geneva area.

The operation involved multiple agencies, including the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Two men, Reinaldo Suarez, 51, of Rochester, and Oscar Alvarado, 30, of Greece, were arrested and face charges related to firearms and drug distribution. They are held without bail.

Here’s what was seized:

  • 6 kilograms of Cocaine
  • 2 kilograms (total) of Heroin and Fentanyl
  • 100 Fentanyl Pills
  • 100 Ecstasy Pills
  • 34 Oxycodone Pills
  • 130 grams of Methamphetamine
  • 72 bottles of liquid – suspected animal tranquilizer
  • 2.6 pounds of Marihuana
  • 9 Firearms – 6 from Monroe County; 3 from Geneva
  • $150,000 in Cash
  • 14 Motor Vehicles

The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected.
