$100,000 challenge to protect Keuka Lake underway

The Finger Lakes Land Trust (FLLT) has announced a $100,000 challenge match to help protect Bluff Point on Keuka Lake, thanks to a pledge from members Dave and Brenda Rickey.

The FLLT needs to raise an additional $110,000 to secure the match and complete the fundraising campaign. Funds will be used to protect the hardwood forests on Bluff Point, which prevent erosion, reduce nutrient runoff, and support diverse wildlife.

Recently, the FLLT purchased 57 acres on East Bluff Drive, featuring mature oak, hickory, and maple trees. The organization plans to create a hiking trail on one of these parcels. To contribute to the campaign, visit fllt.org/keukabluffpoint.
