Parents sue Seneca Falls CSD over daughter’s death

The parents of Taylor Brown, a young woman who died by suicide last year, have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Seneca Falls School District and several staff members.

The lawsuit, filed on June 25 and first reported by the Finger Lakes Times, claims the school allowed years of bullying that led to Taylor’s death.

The family’s attorney Nathan Werksman alleges the district ignored severe bullying and harassment, starting when Taylor was in elementary school, which continued through her senior year at Mynderse Academy.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for negligence, emotional distress, and wrongful death.
