New York Gas Prices Drop for Second Week

Gas prices in New York have fallen for the second week in a row, averaging $3.46 per gallon of regular fuel on Monday, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. This marks a slight decrease from last week’s $3.47 per gallon.

State gas prices have dropped about 12 cents since last month. Over the past year, prices ranged from $3.11 in January to a high of $3.86 in August. A year ago, the average price was 4% higher at $3.59 per gallon.

The average national gas price last week was $3.44, making New York’s prices slightly higher by about 0.6%. The national average has remained steady compared to the previous week’s $3.44 per gallon.
