A South Seneca Elementary School teacher resigned and faces charges after a reported physical altercation with a student.
Jessika M. Pfeil was charged with second-degree harassment following an investigation by the Interlaken Police Department. The incident allegedly occurred on May 31 as the student was leaving for the day. Police reviewed surveillance footage and conducted interviews before filing charges.
Pfeil resigned from her teaching position on June 12, with the resignation effective at the end of the school year. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Covert Court on July 12.
