Geneva police arrested Waterloo man for DWI

On June 27 at around 10 p.m., Geneva police stopped a car on Oak Street for not having a valid NYS inspection sticker. Officer Brett Hall suspected the driver, Edwin Giovanni Cabrera-Guzman, 44, of Waterloo, of being intoxicated.

After failing field sobriety tests, Cabrera-Guzman was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. He refused to provide a breath sample during processing. Cabrera-Guzman was charged with DWI and driving an uninspected motor vehicle.

He was given a traffic ticket and an appearance ticket to appear in Geneva City Criminal Court at a later date.
