Seneca Falls police say a Rochester man was taken into custody for stealing a check worth $4,000 for a local soccer club.
On Monday the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Keon U. Kirton, 40, of Rochester. Kirton was wanted for stealing a $4,000 check from the Ithaca Youth Soccer Club in February 2023 and cashing it at a bank in Seneca Falls.
Following an investigation, an arrest warrant was issued, and Kirton was found by the New York State Police. He was then turned over to Seneca Falls Police.
Kirton faces charges of Grand Larceny in the third degree, a Class D Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the third degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. He was taken to the Seneca County Jail to await court.
