Canandaigua Man Arrested Twice for Child Endangerment and Burglary

A Canandaigua man was arrested twice in June for separate incidents involving child endangerment and burglary.

On June 14, Charles R. Laplant, 36, was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and two counts of Harassment. Police say he forcefully pulled a child’s arm and threatened to harm others during a disturbance on Pleasant Street. He was taken to Ontario County Jail for arraignment.

On June 21, Laplant was arrested again for Burglary and Criminal Contempt. Police determined he entered a South Main Street home without permission on June 16, while it was occupied by two people who had active protection orders against him. Laplant was again taken to Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
