The Canandaigua Town Board will hold a public hearing on Monday at 6 p.m. to discuss a proposed salary increase for Highway and Water Superintendent James Fletcher.
The proposal, introduced in May, would raise Fletcher’s salary from $135,000 to $180,000, using $45,000 from the unassigned fund balance. Specifically, his pay as highway superintendent would increase from $60,000 to $90,000, and his salary as water superintendent would rise from $75,000 to $90,000.
The hearing will take place in the lower level of Town Hall and be available on Zoom.
