The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office says a local man was arrested for DWI during a parade.
Shane Q. King, of Weedsport, was arrested for driving while intoxicated during a parade on June 7, according to Sheriff Brian Schenck.
Deputies and Weedsport Police noticed King trying to drive around the parade route around 7:49 p.m. King appeared intoxicated, and further investigation confirmed he was under the influence of alcohol.
King was charged with aggravated DWI and DWI common law, both felonies due to a previous conviction. He was held on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
