The Thompson Health Guild awarded $2,000 scholarships to five high school seniors at its annual dinner on June 6.
The scholarships were given to students planning to pursue health-related degrees. Each recipient must complete their first semester of college successfully and intend to continue in the healthcare field.
The recipients are:
- Grace Davis of Canandaigua Academy, who will study to become a Physician Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology.
- Johnathan Finewood of Midlakes High School, accepted to SUNY Cortland for biology.
- Jude Rischpater of Naples High School, heading to Dickinson College to major in neuroscience.
- Sean Spezzano of Livonia High School, who will study biochemistry at Miami University in Ohio.
- Hailey Trank of Penn Yan Academy, who will attend Nazareth University for nursing.
The Guild also donated $40,000 to the F.F. Thompson Foundation to support the health system.
