Deputies say an Auburn man was arrested after an incident at Emerson Park earlier this month.

Mykel V. Canales, of Auburn, was arrested on June 4 after a dispute with security staff at Emerson Park in Fleming, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.

Deputies responded to a report of two men arguing with security staff around 8:11 p.m. Canales allegedly grabbed a security officer’s sunglasses and threw them into the water. He also threatened the officer with a clenched fist.

Canales was charged with third-degree criminal tampering and third-degree menacing. He was released with appearance tickets for Town of Fleming Court on June 25.
