Seneca Falls police arrested a local man after an aggressive dispute.

Robert A. Bannan, 32, was arrested on June 17 by Seneca Falls Police after a dispute turned aggressive.

Bannan confronted a man arguing with his wife and threatened to fight him. The man, fearing for his safety, used pepper spray in self-defense. Bannan was charged with two counts of harassment and one count of disorderly conduct.

Due to living in the same complex as the victims, Bannan was taken to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center to await arraignment. The judge is expected to issue an order of protection for the victims.
