Ithaca’s Cass Park to get $300,000 for upgrades

Cass Park, a beloved spot for Ithaca families and community events, is set for major upgrades. Senator Lea Webb announced $300,000 in state funding to enhance the park’s restrooms and cold storage facilities.

“For over 50 years, Cass Park has supported community health and well-being,” Webb said. “These renovations will ensure it remains a vibrant hub for recreation and community engagement.”

Ithaca officials, joined by Webb and local children, celebrated the announcement, which follows a $500,000 grant awarded last year for pavilion and restroom upgrades. No timeline for the improvements has been provided yet.
