The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office proudly announces the promotion of Matt Carr to Chief Deputy. Chief Carr, a 31-year veteran of the department, will oversee the 911 center and the Civil Division.
Surrounded by family, friends, and colleagues, Chief Carr celebrated his promotion on Monday afternoon.
Sheriff Milby praised Carr’s extensive experience, noting his work in Corrections, Police Services, and the Civil Division.
“Chief Carr is a respected leader with significant supervisory experience and expertise in critical incident management,” said Sheriff Milby. “I look forward to his leadership as we integrate 911 services into the Sheriff’s Office.”
