In a joint statement, O’Mara and Palmesano praised Tette’s dedication and hard work, calling him an inspiration and a source of pride for the Penn Yan community. Tette, a senior with 13 varsity letters, will attend SUNY Geneseo to compete in cross country and track and field.

Penn Yan Superintendent Howard Dennis and Coach Rick Smith both commended Tette’s athleticism, leadership, and positive attitude. Athletic Director Jonathan MacKerchar described Tette as the most decorated athlete in Penn Yan’s history.
