Starting June 17, 2024, Livingston County’s official websites will switch to a more secure .gov domain. This change follows a New York State mandate requiring all county websites to use .gov by August 1 to enhance cybersecurity.
“The .gov domain helps safeguard public data and build trust with our residents,” said Jason Parker, Livingston County’s Director of Information and Technology Services. “This move ensures compliance with state mandates and prioritizes online safety against cyber threats.”
The .gov domain offers improved security, authenticity, and public trust. The transition will be smooth, with traffic from the old livingstoncounty.us domain automatically redirected to the new livingstoncountyny.gov address.
