Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo will testify before the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic about his COVID-19 nursing home policies. This comes after over 6,400 nursing home residents died from COVID-related complications under his guidance.

Ohio Representative Brad Wenstrup, chairman of the subcommittee, accused Cuomo of endangering elderly residents and hiding the true death toll. Wenstrup emphasized the importance of Cuomo’s testimony to understand the mistakes made and to prevent future tragedies.

Cuomo, who resigned in August 2021, has faced heavy criticism for his administration’s handling of COVID-19 data. He recently posted a video on YouTube to explain his actions and share his perspective on the pandemic.
