St. Mary’s school in Canandaigua announces new partnerships

St. Mary’s School in Canandaigua, the oldest Catholic school in the Rochester Diocese, has partnered with two Rochester-area schools to expand student opportunities.

Starting in fifth grade, female students from St. Mary’s can attend Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women, and male students can go to McQuaid Jesuit School, both in Brighton, for grades 6-12. “This partnership allows students to receive a Catholic education from pre-kindergarten to grade 12,” said Principal Christina Falbo.

The partnership includes access to school counselors, technology, tuition assistance, transportation support, teacher training, and participation in top-ranked sports programs. St. Mary’s recently discontinued its seventh and eighth grades, making this new arrangement a timely solution.
