State Senator Tom O’Mara and Assemblyman Phil Palmesano will visit Bath Haverling High School, Corning-Painted Post High School, and Penn Yan Academy on Monday. They will honor the schools’ state champion athletes from the 2023-2024 season.

At Bath Haverling High School, the legislators will celebrate the Girls Varsity Soccer team’s Class B championship. The ceremony will start at 11:30 a.m. At Corning-Painted Post High School, they will recognize several champions, including the Boys Bowling team, Taylor Farrell for the 1500-Meter Race Walk, Angelina McKane for swimming titles, and the Girls Varsity Softball team. This event begins at 3:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

Palmesano will also attend a 6:00 p.m. ceremony at Penn Yan Academy to honor James “J.D.” Tette, who won the Class C Boys Cross Country state championship. The events celebrate the hard work and achievements of these young athletes.
