Astrology enthusiasts can now showcase their zodiac sign on their vehicle, thanks to new custom license plates offered by the New York Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
“Custom plates allow New Yorkers to express their interests,” DMV Commissioner Mark J.F. Schroeder said in a statement Wednesday. “We support individuality by providing various custom plate options.”
Each zodiac plate costs $60 initially, with an annual renewal fee of $31.25, in addition to the regular vehicle registration fee. Plates can be purchased on the DMV website, by mail, or by calling the Custom Plates Office at 518-402-4838. The design features a zodiac symbol and name on the left, with moon phases along the bottom.
