Wayne Technical & Career Center in Williamson celebrated its CTE Signing Day on Wednesday, with over 60 students committing to future employers.

The event, held at the Conference Center in Newark, was filled with students, teachers, staff, employers, and proud parents. Graduating seniors signed Letters of Intent with their new employers, marking the start of their careers.

The program includes 900 hours of study and hands-on training, internships, and practical projects like wiring homes for Habitat for Humanity. Graduates can expect starting pay between $20 to $25 per hour, entering the workforce without heavy student loans.

Superintendent Lynne Rutnik praised the students, emphasizing the value of their industry connections. “Your network is your net worth,” she said. “Congratulations, scholars, you did it!”
