Aaron Judge blasted his Major League-leading 24th home run of the season as the New York Yankees (46-21) avoided a three-game sweep with a 6-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers (41-26) on Sunday Night Baseball in the Bronx.

After the Dodgers took a 3-2 lead in the top of the sixth, the Yankees answered in the bottom of the frame as Trent Grisham sent one into the right-field seats for a three-run homer to give New York a 5-3 lead.

Los Angeles cut the lead to one in the top of the eighth, but once again, the Yankees responded as Judge crushed one into the second deck in left field to extend New York’s lead to 6-4 before Clay Holmes closed it out in the ninth, notching his 19th save of the season.

Luis Gil was charged with three runs on five hits over 5.2 innings.

The Yankees will head to Kansas City to begin a four-game series with the Royals on Monday at 8:10 p.m.
