Canandaigua woman arrested for grand larceny after Geneva housing fraud investigation

Authorities in Ontario County arrested a Canandaigua woman following a housing investigation.

Sarah Pallifrone, 44, was arrested on June 6 for Grand Larceny in the third degree after an investigation revealed she committed housing fraud.


Pallifrone, residing at 462 South Main St. Apt 3, had unauthorized persons living with her in a subsidized Section 8 housing unit since September 2022. She collected rent from these individuals, unlawfully obtaining $11,649 in housing benefits.

She was taken to the Ontario County Jail for CAP arraignment and will face charges in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
