Under a Memorandum of Agreement, the county will provide $50,000 annually for 10 years from its tourism promotion budget, funded by a 3% room occupancy tax. The Chamber, which is the county’s designated Tourism Promotion Agency, will construct and operate the center, ensuring it offers 1,000 to 1,500 square feet of accessible space on the first floor.

The Chamber will handle insurance responsibilities, protecting the county from all claims and liabilities. The current Chamber office is located at 1 W. Main St. in Waterloo.
