Juan Soto blasted two home runs on Sunday afternoon as the New York Yankees completed a three-game sweep of the San Francisco Giants with a 7-5 come-from-behind victory.

New York (42-19) trailed by two runs going into the top of the ninth inning against Giants (29-31) closer Camilo Doval but put together a four-run rally. Anthony Volpe tripled home a run to cut the deficit to one before Soto smacked a go-ahead two-run shot to give the Yankees the lead. Then, Giancarlo Stanton recorded his 1,500th career hit and extended the lead with an RBI double, and the Yankees finished their West Coast trip with a 7-2 record.

Nestor Cortes was charged with three runs on seven hits over 4.1 innings. Heliot Ramos and Casey Schmitt homered off Cortes, and Ramos later added a two-run single off Dennis Santana in the sixth.

Soto opened the scoring with a solo shot off Blake Snell in the first, and Alex Verdugo had a two-run, game-tying double in the fifth.

Box Score

The Yankees will get the day off Monday before they begin a six-game homestand on Tuesday, starting with three against the Twins.
