The New York Mets (24-34) had a chance to extend their win streak to three games on Saturday evening at Citi Field, but the pitching let them down in a 10-5 loss to the Diamondbacks (26-32).

Sean Manaea gave up a grand slam in the third inning and two more runs in the sixth as the Diamondbacks built a comfortable lead and rolled to victory. Josh Walker struggled as well, allowing four runs in 2.1 innings.

Mark Vientos and Pete Alonso homered, while Jose Iglesias and Tomás Nido added RBI.

Box Score

The Mets will try to take three of four from the Diamondbacks when they hand the ball to Jose Quintana on Sunday at 1:40 p.m.
