Hornell seeks funding for Landman Building revamp

The City of Hornell aims to transform its downtown skyline by redeveloping the Landman Building on Main Street.

The Common Council has applied for a $2 million Restore New York grant to support the project, which plans to convert the building into a mixed-use space with offices, apartments, and art studios.

Previously awarded $1.5 million from the Downtown Revitalization Initiative, the project now needs more funding due to inflation and pandemic-related delays.

The additional grant would help complete the $3 million project, ensuring the building’s transformation into a vibrant community space.
