The Seneca Meadows Education Center invites the public to a special “Moth Blacklighting” event and spaghetti dinner on Friday, June 7, from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. This free event will feature pollinator ecologist Molly Jacobson from SUNY ESF’s Restoration Science Center.

Participants will enjoy a delicious spaghetti dinner starting at 7:30 p.m., followed by an evening of learning about and observing moths. Using UV “blacklighting,” attendees will get an up-close look at various moth species and learn how to document their sightings on iNaturalist, contributing to conservation efforts.

The event will take place at the Seneca Meadows Education Center at 1977 NYS Route 414, Waterloo, NY. Registration is required by June 2 to ensure enough food for everyone. All ages are welcome. For more information or to register, visit the Seneca Meadows website or call 315-539-5089.
