What events around happening around Ontario County for Memorial Day?

The Finger Lakes region is set to commemorate Memorial Day with various ceremonies and parades, honoring those who died in service to their country.


The Canandaigua parade begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 27. Cheshire’s commemoration is at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, starting at the Cheshire Fire Hall on Route 21 South, followed by a procession to Pine Bank Cemetery. State Sen. Pam Helming and Peter C. DeMarco will speak at the fire hall.

On Memorial Day, several Ontario County communities will hold events. Middlesex’s parade starts at 10 a.m. at the Middlesex Fire House, with a ceremony to follow. Hopewell’s ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at Memorial Park. Farmington’s ceremony, in collaboration with AMVETS Post 332, is at 9 a.m. at North Farmington Cemetery. Victor’s parade starts at 10:30 a.m. from Victor school campus to Village Hall. Canandaigua’s ceremony at American Legion 256 is at 9 a.m., followed by a parade at 10 a.m.
