The villages of Aurora, Cayuga, and Union Springs are progressing in the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) process by scheduling a public meeting and issuing an open call for projects. Project submissions are due by noon on Friday, June 28, with templates available at cayugalakeroute90villages.com.

An informational session about the open call for projects will be held virtually from 3 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 30. Additionally, a joint public meeting is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, at Union Springs Fire Hall, 257 Cayuga St.

The meeting will include a presentation by the C&S Companies consultant team on the DRI strategic investment plan. Representatives from local banks will be available to discuss funding options for project proposals. The consultants will also hold office hours to discuss project ideas, with in-person meetings at Cayuga Village Hall and Aurora Village Hall, and virtual meetings on June 18 and June 26.

Questions can be directed to Emma Phillips, a consultant with C&S Companies, at [email protected].
